to think I am being outwitted by mice.

I have mice living in the shed. It's actually a block of sheds, belonging to me and next door. I've set traps in mine and poison bait. Next door is reluctant to use poison because they keep rabbit food/bedding in their shed so took a trap I gave them.
First two days, I caught two mice in the traps. Next two days they licked the trap clean without setting it off (I am using a pound shop choc n nut spread).
AIBU to think that these mice are taking great pleasure in outwitting me!
Ok rant over!

You sure it's not your neighbour eating the spread and resetting the traps?! :o

Grin neighbour can't get into our shed! If the traps don't get them, the mice will get so fat from the chocolate I can bounce em out of town!

Yes, they are outwitting you. They are clever little beasts.

Try a humane trap and relocate them. Apparently you have to go at least a mile otherwise they "home".

I don't mind mice in the shed, they're just not allowed in the house. Yours are probably there because next door have rabbit food, when we had guinea pigs in our shed the mice really enjoyed the extra food. They used to go into the cage and steal it from the guineas' bowl.

Even if you get rid of this lot more will move in as there is a ready souce of food there.

I have a humane trap, the little bugger got in ate the chocolate and got out!

They hate mint.

Put some mint plants down and they'll piss off.
