Is there an animal in my washing machine?

Not an AIBU but I need your help....

My dog was going ballistic last night and this morning trying to open the little flap at the bottom where the filter is. I've put the machine on a 90 degree empty wash but now I'm at work so don't know if has flushed it out boiled it to death Am terrified of mice and too scared to unscrew the filter cap!

I can't think how one would get in easily - but dogs usually have good hearing and smell. Any friends or neighbours who are made of sterner stuff?

How would a mouse get inside the filter place?

your be surrpised you can find fint mice and lizerds in computer towers, no idea how they get in other then the vents at the back???

please come back and tell us if you found something?

I was wondering if a mouse could get into the drum via the water pipes then squeeze through a hole into the filter area?
