To thinks sainsburys party invites would have space for the date

Brought the pirate invites from sainsburys for DS1's birthday. Got them back, starting to write them out...no space for the date, and the envelopes are not gummed.

I hate writing out invites and this didn't help.

Who designs a party invite with no date space????

Hilarious. Sorry. I know that doesn't help.

well at least you noticed and didn't send them out without the date on! Grin

grumpalumpgrumped · 27/06/2013 21:20

MyMelody maybe thats why the enveloped were not gummed, meant I could go back and write the dates on them!

Totally uncalled for Cron

OhMerGerd · 28/06/2013 05:48

Gosh... I actually this aibu is an actual aibu ... so don't understand where that came from Cron...

And Yanbu op... The reason we pay for blinking pirate/princess invites is cos we need to convey, who, what where, time & when in an easy to read format as we know our fellow parents will only have time to glance at the thing for ten seconds before mentally working out logistics and turning up on the day.

Write to Sainsbury's - spotting that error for them has got be worth at least a couple of packets of party rings ... Lol!

Sokmonsta · 28/06/2013 06:07

Yanbu! Surely the most important thing is the bloody date. I'd write and tell them too, on the odd chance there's a little 'thank you for your observation' treat.

What did the email say?

Gruffalump · 29/06/2013 21:36

Bahahaha.

As someone who has personal experience of sainso's head office I am not surprised.

Well done on your nectar point haul!

Tooearlyintheday · 29/06/2013 21:42

Marks and Spencer's Kids Party invitations have no space for the birthday child's name or for RSVP details. And they're £2.50 for 8 blooming invititations. Shocking Smile
