Firstly I should point out that I haven't gone out and bought an animal only to get fed up. There are twenty wild bunnies in my area and one of them is a tiny little black one with a broken leg, he/she is happily ensconced In my bunnies travel cot until the RSPCA get here but I've committed the cardinal sin and named him/her ... this will only end in tears. Anyone else done something similar?

My daughter named her tadpole "Snow White". Once she became a frog we let her go back in her pond. Now every time we catch a frog DD thinks it's Snow White. She kissed her (it?) once, looked around and said "Why aren't I a princess?".

Went off topic a bit there but we name animals in this house. There was also Flutter the butterfly, Slimey the snail and Gertrude the magpie (they all died).

What do you think the RSPCA will do with it?

The RSPCA recently treated and released a tiny tiny bird with a hurt wing so I am hoping they will help him/her. If they say she/he will have to be put down I will take him/her to my vet as don't want him/her to be alone :)
