(Before anyone says it, yes we are adults and yes I do realise we both sound petty)

Xp and I take it in turns to pay for dc school meals/bus fare. One week each. This week is his turn. He gives ds his money for mon, tues and wed.

Last night he sends me a message saying he had forgotten to give ds money for thurs and fri so could I give it to him and he would give it to dd to give it back tonight.

I gave ds the money this morning.

Dd came home at 8.45pm tonight with a bag of chips, a fiver for herself and £2 for ds. No money for me.

I sent him a message asking if the fiver was meant for me. He replied saying I was taking the piss and he couldnt afford to give it to me. He had paid for their dinners, dds dance, bought her chips and given her a fiver.

My argument is he should have told me he couldnt give me the money. I could have then either given him sandwiches instead. He says im being unreasonable (Shock maybe he is a mnetter!?). The money was actually my bus fare for work tomorrow.I leave the house before 7am and now need to go and find a cash point before the bus. Its already a manic morning dropping dc in different places.

Just for background he doesn't pay any child maintenance and has dc every other weekend. He used to pay £7.50 a week but now pays £15 a fortnight dinner money instead.

To solve your more imminent problem, use DD's fiver tomorrow.

He sounds like an arse.

MikeLitoris · 20/06/2013 21:46

Its for the school fete. He would call me all the names going if I 'stole' dds money.

Not worth the hassle.

He is a knobber and is taking advantage of the fact that you won't see your kids go without.
YANBU
Next time he asks you to sub dinner money then give your DS a packed lunch if that suits you better

marriedinwhiteagain · 20/06/2013 21:56

Haven't you got enough in to make a sarnie for tomorrow. Won't school let you pay them on monday for tomorrow's money. What's year dd having for dinner except chips?

MikeLitoris · 20/06/2013 22:13

Ds has enough money for tomorrow now. Rhe change from todays fiver and the £2 ex gave him tonight.

Im pissed off at the chips too, she had a plate of food here waiting for her and she ate before going to dance. He does this every week. Brings her home with food as if she is starved here.

Its been a while since we have argued so I'm not going to kick off over this but Its petty shit like this that really gets me wound up. He is so convinced he is completely fine to just not give the fiver back it makes me want to scream.

He makes me feel like I'm a scavenger asking for a measley £5.

Oh OP its so irritating isnt it. Shit like this gives me the rage.

My ex has informed me this week that

  1. hes going on holiday in august (even though he cant afford this months full maintenance) and
  2. hes not contributing towards DD1s school uniform.

When I kicked off he told me I am insanely jealous, I dont deserve a holiday because I dont work, and that I was pressurising him. Hmm

Pressurising? Pressurising? Its hardly new fucking news that your child is starting school in sept and needs uniform.

Shitty exs expecting us to pick up the pieces. Angry

MikeLitoris · 20/06/2013 22:42

I've had every excuse under the sun from wankbadger ex as to why he cant contribute. Its hard because ex uses the dc to pass messages to me knowing I wont kick off to them.

Its so hard trying to stay calm when I just want to drive my car over his ugly smug face.

He is jealous that I have a well paid job and none of his business ideas' have taken off.
