Or will it go weird?

And if it is possible how long would I cook it for?

bigTillyMint · 20/06/2013 18:10

Yes, I do that a lot. Noone ever complainsSmile

Helpyourself · 20/06/2013 18:12

I would do it up until the mixing stage- cook the pasta, make the sauce and chill separately otherwise the pasta absorbs te sauce and its all rather solid.

I remember a whole family ate a macaroni cheese that had been baked the previous day. Nobody has seen them since...

monikar · 20/06/2013 18:57

I would cook it for about 45 minutes. I would put some grated cheese on the top just before it went in the oven.

I always work on the principle that restaurants make lots of things the day before so if you keep it in the fridge it will be fine.

bigTillyMint · 20/06/2013 19:18

It is a bit more solid, but they seem to like it like that, rather than sloppy on the plateGrin

shewhowines · 20/06/2013 19:43

It's ok reheated but stodgier. Warm it till it is really hot in the middle.

I make fresh pasta and then pour sauce, that I've made the day before, over it. Tastes no difference to freshly made.

HerrenaHarridan · 20/06/2013 19:52

If cooking from fridge 45 min, if you take out and allow to reach room temp 20

I make the while thing up and put in dish Smile

Oldraver · 20/06/2013 20:35

It will be lovely...lots of cheese on the top until it goes crunchy

raisah · 20/06/2013 20:52

Just add more sauce keep it moist. I cook everything the day before and chill it all separately and put it all together before baking it the next day.

Just make a bit more sauce and a bit thinner - macaroni al dente. Mix it up, bung in fridge - oven next day wit foil take foil off after 35 mins - sprinkle with grated cheese ad bingo after another 10 mins. Perfect
