I took Bdog to see Wilf yesterday on the train. Coming back from Kent I got off at Stratford International Station and made for the lifts. A very bootfaced man came towards me and asked if I was going to use the lift because it had been broken for a week! Shock
I had to then walk/run up SIX flights of stairs!! Hmm When I got up to the guard, boot faced man was there so we both moaned at the guard! Guard said there was another lift but bfm said it was a long walk away! He was asking to speak to the duty manager when I left. I couldn't stay as I still had two more trains to catch on a very tight time constraint!!!! I will be ringing at 9am to moan. Not so much for me but for those people who cant use escalators or stairs or walk long distances to other lifts!!!

How do you know that they aren't waiting for a part? Most large stations would be on it pretty quickly usually.

Complain, ime it wont get fixed otherwise. I can't walk up 6 flights of stairs so I would've been buggered along with lots of other people.

Yes complain, someone is not doing their job properly, if it has taken a week to get an essential piece of equipment fixed.

and there should be procedures in place to assist people find the alternative arrangement.

There was another working lift though? And there are escalators too. And there is a wheelchair provision service.
