Inspired by another FB thread, sorry! Where somebody said they liked Facebook to nose through other people's holiday snaps.
That bit where you have a 'suggested friends' box and it has mutual friends FB suggests you could be friends with too.
Do you have a nosy at their page and read about their lives and peek at their holiday photos/getting bladdered on a night out photos?!
If they didn't want anybody to be looking, they should keep their bloomin' page private, shouldn't they?!

My FB is protected to keep people like me out Grin.

I once went from friend to friend of friend to friend of friend of friend, and so on, and realised how many people have no privacy settings...

I was seeing pictures of men, women and children, whom I'd never met, in various states of undress!

Now I don't dare click on strangers' profiles, in case of embarrassing myself.

5madthings · 14/06/2013 12:26

If they are stupid enough to have their wall set to public they are fair game imo!

I have my settings set to friends only and then soecific security settings in place for photos etc.

I am nosey tho and if someone has their wall set to public i have a nose, i always look at their 'likes' and interests...you can leaen a lot...

That's the main reason I like FB Grin. I have my privacy settings very high and even have different friends lists who I'll share some posts/photos with but not others. But I love adding random folk who I've met once or twice and don't allow full access to my own profile, just so I get a good nosy at theirs!

Buswanker · 14/06/2013 12:39

Its like walking past someone's house when they have no curtains and you can look in and see them eating their tea. You just have to look it.

fair game for what though? Weird facebook Voyeurs looking at their photos and judging them without them knowing?

Like they actually even give a fuck!?

Probably they don't give two shits.

WhizzerAndChips · 14/06/2013 12:46

Probably they don't give two shits.

Most probably! Smile I beg to differ on the 'weird facebook voyeurs' comment though. This thread shows it's just human nature to want to know about other people's lives if they've stuck it right underneath your nose.
Take mumsnet, for example - just another way of peeking into other people's lives and you're included in that, I assume as you're on mumsnet...

oh yes - that's fine. everyone does it of course. My comment was that people who leave their facebook public probably really don't give two shits about the people who spend their time trawling through other people's facebook pages for entertainment.

It was the comment about them being fair game and stupid that I thought was odd.
