AIBU?

To just want a really narrow thin wardrobe??

I think I must be being unreasonable.

They don't seem to exist ANYWHERE.

I need a changing unit with cupboard or small wardrobe - something for box room nursery with built in clothes space (pref hanging)

But maximum width can be 72cms / 27 inches ish!!!

Any ideas?

As for changing units, I did it on the floor.

Was going to suggest the Ikea Pax ones!

We have 4 in our room and 4 in the kids rooms, in our room we have one each flanking our bed and two together in the alcove so it looks like a regular wardrobe. This way means I can have a hanging rail and he can have all drawers though.

They also do ones that aren't quite so deep.

Pax are only 50cm wide, they do another one which might be less than 72cm but I think is 75cm.

Also whilst I'm at it does anyone know anywhere that does storage units like the Ikea Trofast (ie trays in a frame) but without the high bit at one side so it's quite low all the way along & would fit under a window ledge?

There is a Trofast that sounds like what you want. There is more than one style.

I have a trofast like that which can be used as a bench, too. here

We ended up having one custom made as we wanted it to be 70cm. So we found a local joiner who could make a cupboard and put a hanging rail and shelf into it. Not such an affordable option but we were getting desperate!

LeMous that's perfect than you! Bad kitten - how much did a custom made one set you back?

We had a handyman cut down the 100cm PAX to fit a 72cm space perfectly. Couldn't tell you how much the work cost as he was on a day rate doing lots of other things but it took him maybe half a day.

£350 Blush as I say, we were pretty desperate.

This children's Hemnes one is only 66cm wide and has hanging space.

That hemnes one is even more perfect!

Ikea pax comes in a 36cm depth, only in the white finish though I think.
