To wonder if this will be too much for DD?

DD turns 3 next month and will start nursery in September (3 hours a day scheme). Currently she goes swimming on Tuesday afternoons, so from September we would have to go straight from nursery to swimming.

I'm a bit unsure whether to carry on Roth swimming, as she might just be so tired after nursery. Her nursery place is right when she currently has a nap, so we also have to phase those out before September too Confused

Do you think it would be too much? She absolutely loves swimming so I'd rather she carry on if possible. Doing it at the weekends would be a bit disruptive to our weekends tbh, we hardly see DH enough as it is.

Having DDs who didn't find nursery 1/2 or full days tiring. I'd try it and see.

She probably will crash out after swimming, but she'll be fin during.

Personally I wouldn't bother phasing out her nap. As soon as she starts nursery she'll be too busy to notice.

DD2 napped at nursery on Wednesday and sometimes at weekends and never the rest of the week because of collecting her sister from pre school. Didn't bother her at all.

Depends on your child.
If this had been DS he would have fallen asleep in the car and been a nightmare if woken up.
DD would have taken it in her child.

Well DD did fall asleep on the way there this week, as she refused a nap. She woke up grumpy Hmm Grin

I was hoping I could start dropping the nap now ready for nursery. She often doesn't want one, but will fall asleep in the car if we go anywhere Confused
