Ok so we has a mum of 7 on daybreak complaining that her benefits are being affected by the benefit cap. Sure there must be a thread on here about it.
I have just seen a post on facebook (I know) from another mum complaining that she is working to support scum like this. etc etc
Well this particular mum is a single parent with 3 dc. She works part time with grandparents looking after dc. However, for at least 3 of the years I have know her she hasn't been working and has claimed child tax credits which she admits was a lot of money when she had dc under 1. Plus cost of educating said dc etc actually means that others are actually probably working to support her. (if you really want to look at it that way)
AIBU to think people in glass houses.

My FIL is the biggest benefit bashing em reader out there.

YET he retired from a public service position, as a result of bullying (real & hurtful, but at his own admission due to something befouled e easily changed. Still bullies' fault, but...) on a handsome pension . He was 50, so this will do to he for some time. It is from the public purse. He is reassessed every year re fitness to work & again has a relapse for 2 weeks.

His dd split from her oh the kids' dad. She CBS to contact CSS so he pays £10 a week for both dc. FIL says ok tax credits would be reduced if she got more from him. FIL also encouraged her to drop her hours so she'd be able to claim more.

All kids & gc have been state educated. He is a total hypochondriac & very careless on his bike so is always at gp & a&e.

I could go on. But he begrudges every penny claimed by these single mothers. I should clarify, the bad ones, not the poor helpless ones like his dd.
