MIL (I know, sorry) has been over tonight & took ds to get undressed for his bath. I went into his room & she had him on the changing unit & was licking the soles of his feet.

I didn't say anything but am a bit eh? about it.

Is this odd or am I just daft?

Odd!

Finola1step · 10/06/2013 20:55

Was it to tickle him?

Dawndonna · 10/06/2013 20:55

freaky strange!

Jengnr · 10/06/2013 20:56

It's odd.

Did you not ask what she was doing?

The only thing I can think of was that she kissed his feet and he giggled because it tickled so she was trying to tickle more???

HenriettaPye · 10/06/2013 20:56

Bit odd...

SisterMatic · 10/06/2013 20:57

I blow raspberries on dd2s feet but I dont lick them. Bleh

Icelollycraving · 10/06/2013 20:57

I pretend to chomp on ds feet which makes him giggle. I am clearly odd too Hmm

Jengnr · 10/06/2013 20:58

I do the pretending to chomp thing too. I don't lick them.

SisterMatic · 10/06/2013 20:58

I mean the sort of raspberries where you dont stick your tongue out..just to clarify Grin

Bearmonkeysmum · 10/06/2013 21:04

No I'm talking full on slurps, ds was not giggling or even smiling tbh. I do pretend to bite his toes to make him laugh but I've never licked the soles of his feet.

Think I was just a bit taken aback when I saw it & didn't think to ask/say something

I've never been known to have a foot fetish but I absolutely bloody love kissing my 13 week old DS's feet :( it makes him laugh his head off and his feet are just bloody lovely. However, your mil is a bit err odd for the full on slurping? :s

EagleRiderDirk · 10/06/2013 21:12

I kiss my kids feet, but licking Hmm

FatherSpodoKomodo · 10/06/2013 21:16

I have kissed my children's feet, I have blown raspberries on them, I have bitten their toes (pretendy, not really) but I haven't licked them. That sounds a bit yuk and weird.

I miss baby feet, I don't want to do any of these things to my 14 yo's stinky plates of meat. Maybe that's what's happened to her, she's missed baby feet so much she has to lick them. It is what awaits us all.

gaggiagirl · 10/06/2013 21:22

My auntie did that to my DD when she was only a few months old I thought it was a whole load of odd but really its just cos my auntie loves her so much and just wanted to eat her all up.

FattyMcChubster · 10/06/2013 21:33

I lick my dd's neck (outs self) but that's because she tastes nice loves it and it makes her laugh like a maniac.
I also chomp on her feet but i'd not really thought about licking them. I'd be quite concerned if someone else was doing it especially so enthusiastically!

LST · 10/06/2013 21:59

I think I've licked my ds's feet come to think of it. I also lick his face if he licks mine first Grin

carlywurly · 10/06/2013 22:00

V odd.

MulberryJane · 10/06/2013 22:04

An elderly great aunt of mine used to work in a special care baby unit, she was telling me how she used to like to suck their feet after their bath! I find this weird, but maybe it's a 'thing'? Still, not appropriate with someone else's baby!
