I had a cake of cheese at my wedding.

I may have been too pissed to eat any of it.

GoatBongosAnonymous · 09/06/2013 19:54

Hmm... Some interesting comments about goats... I never thought about the moral implications of my eating goat's cheese Hmm

Torta marscapone for me every time!

ExitPursuedByABear · 09/06/2013 19:55

Many!

hazeyjane · 09/06/2013 19:59

Can I confess to a shameful cheese moment, when I was pregnant with ds. I had a huge craving for some Edam, I bought a huge wedge from Waitrose and stood outside and ate the lot, like I was eating an apple (except for the wax)). People stared.

AtYourCervix · 09/06/2013 20:02

Hazey I did that with a whole battenburg.

I have a pizza with goat's cheese and caramelised onions on. Yummy.

ExitPursuedByABear · 09/06/2013 20:07

I did that with a large beetroot.

timidviper · 09/06/2013 20:09

Cheese is vile, it is milk that has gone off. You wouldn't eat other "bad" food and brag about how lovely it is would you?

Wildwaterfalls · 09/06/2013 20:11

Ooh I love smoked mozzarella! And unsmoked mozzarella. Grin

ExitPursuedByABear · 09/06/2013 20:12

Shock. Poor you.

AtYourCervix · 09/06/2013 20:15

It's not gone off Shock it is fermented. And matured. Like wine.

Please keep raving about Canadian Cheddar. It means we don't have to eat it.

I'm not watching the GP. I'm hiding upstairs with 17 month old DS. We are both "napping". I am a GP fan though. Might watch the highlights on the iPlayer later.

My sister is off to the Singapore GP for the 3rd time this year. I'm not jealous

Andro · 09/06/2013 20:54

YABVVVVVVVVVVVU!

I'm allergic and like LangenFlugelHappleHoff, very jealous!

TheMagicKeyCanFuckOff · 09/06/2013 20:58

I hate cheese! It's disgusting. I've always hated it actually, it's just the... cheesiness bit, the taste. Urgh!

waterlego6064 · 09/06/2013 21:10

I feel for those who cannot appreciate cheese. My OH is a cheese hater. I feel deeply sad that he will never know the unadulterated joy of a wedge of Port Salut on a piece of baguette, or the stinky salty deliciousness of some St Agur grilled in a giant mushroom. :(

Kleptronic · 09/06/2013 21:14

I might have to go and eat my brie like it's cake now. You are all bastards.

meddie · 09/06/2013 21:17

ooh. Looks longingly at the Squeaky cheese (haloumi as named by the kids). have nothing to go with it. Would eating a whole packet gridled be U?

ExitPursuedByABear · 09/06/2013 21:20

Yes

CrabbyBigBottom · 10/06/2013 11:56

meddie if you follow a low carbohydrate diet, a whole packet of griddled squeaky cheese (so named in our house too) counts as a healthy snack. Wink

CrabbyBigBottom · 10/06/2013 11:57

And Grin Grin at eating a whole wedge of edam like it was an apple. Maybe the passersby were just thinking 'gosh, that's a very very red apple that pregnant lady's eating...' Grin

AmberSocks · 10/06/2013 12:01

Love cheese,we dont eat it enough, somehow have got stuck in a rut just buying cheddar for the kids sarnies and on top of beans on toast,we used to eat lovey fancy cheese!

Have really gone off chutney though!Whats tne nicest chutnesy?used to like red onion but now it leaves a funny taste in my mouth, ate too much of it in pregnancy and makes me feel a bit ugh.

ScarletLady02 · 10/06/2013 12:06

Mmmmmm....if I was a condemned woman my last meal would be a fuckton of cheese, crackers and chutney.

On a recent visit to Norfolk I bought 3 jars of chilli jam from Chillis Galore...I've already gone through one of them...Oh and some extra mature Dutch gouda. It's all about the chilli jam with cheese for me.

The chilli and garlic cheese sounds yummy - where's it from? I recently discovered that Aldi do their own Boursin type soft cheese....at 79p a tub I'm going to get HUUUUUUUUUGE!!
