I have some pretty hefty building works going on over the road to my house,

the builders in the day shout agressively to each other and swear quiet a bit, my dc can hear this in the back garden and I'm worried they will pick some of these words up.

aibu to ask them to stop.

or do you think ill be laughed out of the building site.

Is there a site board up with a number on that you could call.

I wouldn't be happy either. My DH and his brother are builders, they would never ever swear and shout, so unprofessional.

No, that is totally unacceptable.

I run building site, we don't have this behaviour what so ever, because it causes problems, clients hate it, neighbours hate it, I hate it, all my crew hate it, visiting trades alway comment that they prefer our sites, we still have loads of banter, but never anything offensive, it is bad for business, we get a lot of repeat work because we are considerate, so these men are fools.

Go over to the site ask to speak to the project manager, gaffer, site manager.

Explain you do not want to hear anything offensive, explain you will be happy to call the police to help get that enforced.

Phone head office.

You shout across to them "Oi mind your language theres little ears over here who are copying you"
Or walk over and ask them nicely if they could watch the swearing as the little one can hear it from the back garden.
