If your online pament system is faulty

Then make it unavailable or FIX it before letting people use it.

I've just tried and failed to renew my nurse registration online, got message "payment declined as this store does not accept this card type".
I put it through again, thinking I'd screwed up and clicked the wrong dropdown bit.
Failed again.
I checked the online bank account, and my balance available is now negative.
I rang the bank, and 3 payments have been requested, (each for £100) which means I no longer have any money available to me whatsoever until the end of the month.

I rang the NMC and was told that "this is an issue which has arised with new online platform from barclays and the verification system" They are aware of it.
And they will release my money which I should have after 3 working days. (so by Tuesday)
I had to plead poverty to get her to agree to fax the bank to get it released today.

Fingers crossed it will get sorted today. I have to eat between now and Tuesday. (Well, ok I wont starve, full cupboard, but still...)

When I queried why, if they know there is a problem with online payments they are still allowing them to go through, she said the percentage of payments not going through is small. Confused

I agree with Melty ,the platform should be fixed, I'm £800 pounds down, a lot of nurses have very little spare cash, this has caused myself and my family a great deal of unneeded stress.

£800 Shock
I did get it sorted that day, but it took til 4pm. Its ridiculous and wasted most of the day making phone calls to Halifax and the payment dept at the NMC.
I've sent them a cheque, so hopefully will be legal before the end of the month.
