Inspired. Will be doing the same.

FreudiansSlipper · 06/06/2013 13:13

I put a few drops of jasmine, orange, neroli or lavender oil in

Love Chanel no 19 your

plainjaney · 06/06/2013 19:35

Most manufacturers dont recommend adding oils or perfumes to steam mops because it rots the seals. I'd imagine it voids your warranty as well.

marriedinwhiteagain · 06/06/2013 19:38

Oh spoilsport. Should I just use my favourite perfume instead of air freshener then. Not that I use air freshener

FreudiansSlipper · 06/06/2013 19:39

thank you shall make sure i do not mention it should i need to take it back in the next 8 months

EggsMichelle · 06/06/2013 20:05

I'm not flash enough to own any Chanel (although did have a guineapig called Chanel) but I put my body shop perfume in my ironing water to make our clothes smell pretty!

Levantine · 06/06/2013 20:42

why don't you put some drops on the cloth bit?

Levantine · 06/06/2013 20:43

vg idea i use orange oil but chanel no 19 is my favourite perfume

plainjaney · 07/06/2013 15:47

The cloth bit is actually a really good idea! You aren't supposed to put perfumes or oils into anything like steam irons or mops, but actually on the cloth is a great idea.

As for the ironing, I bought a little spray bottle which I have a fabric softener/water mix in and I spray that onto the ironing instead.

marriedinwhiteagain · 07/06/2013 22:16

You do realise ironing is banned on mnet don't you pj

UhOhChongo · 07/06/2013 22:58

Chanel 19, ahhhh... drifts off into the 80's remembering a 2 week holiday in Spain, factor 3 (eeek), Campari and soda and Oops Upside Your Head dance.

CAF275 · 07/06/2013 23:01

My absolute favourite perfume of all time! Used to have the deoderant too but apparently they've stopped making it?

DrCoconut · 07/06/2013 23:06

I would have terrible migraine but in principle yes.

starbuckmum4 · 07/06/2013 23:16

I always put a little bit of fragranced floor cleaner into the floor steam cleaner. Mine seems to be ok and we've had it ages.

Yellowtip · 07/06/2013 23:29

Cristalle is lighter and more kitcheny no?

snooter · 07/06/2013 23:35

I don't like no 19 - much pref No 5

MsPickle · 07/06/2013 23:41

I put lavender oil onto the pad. Smells lovely.
