...and finding it highly amusing.

So, my mum had recently met new dp when visiting me (i'm german, my mum still lives there).

In calls and facebook chats she's taking in great interest in how he is and what he's doing, just referred to him as 'MY [DP's name]' and get's very red faced when you're suggesting it jokingly (yay, skype).

She denies it, of course...

My late mother used to go all silly and giggly when a school friend of mine would come around to see us. My parents were friends with his parents when they were all in their early twenties, so it was very odd and a bit creepy for me to see my mum go wide eyed and giggly when this fellow came around!

I would heed the warning given above, though... Grin

TheSmallClanger · 29/05/2013 15:56

My mum used to have a crush on one of my brother's friends. She went all giggly and silly around him and always tried to get him to stay for dinner.

EvaM · 29/05/2013 15:56

Grin DP finds it about as amusing, but doubt it's a mutual crush. (I know when he fancies someone...)

Alliwant, it is kind of creepy, but I've decided to see the funny side of it.

It's hideous. They had a daughter together (my aunt but she is only a few years older than me)... She's never been "told" as such so it's like this big secret that everyone knows about but no one mentions. Bizarre

EvaM · 29/05/2013 22:31

Ouch, that sounds absolutely horrible. Your poor aunt.
