Blue badge space fight.

My husband is severely disabled and a blue badge holder. We just went to our local Asda to do a shop and someone had the last BB space. They were both young people in a flash convertible and were using the space as they were loading up a plant into the back seat. They had no BB and no apparent disabilities. I put down my window and politely said that this is a BB space and my husband needs it due to his disability. Most of the time this happens people just apologise and shift but these 2 did not. All of a sudden they were running at my car, effing and blinding and becoming very aggressive. They said we had no rights to a BB space as I was the driver and I was not disabled. I told them to stop the swearing as my son was in the car and there were other children entering and leaving the store.
My only regret is rolling the window up when they flew at my car threatening me. I wish I had had the guts to get out and face them off.
I know I can come across as a tin cap wearing parking warden but my husband is on high rate mobility and really struggles to get about.

I thought this was going to be about us!!
We were in Asda earlier and as we were loading the car with our shop a car stopped and asked shouted if we could move the car as we weren't disabled, my husband politely answered that's we were not disabled but our little DD in the car is and our BB was on display.
They were not happy with us but we didn't do anything wrong!
One of them might have had a disability OP and forgot to display BB? But they should not have acted in that manner.
