PFB or would you be worried too?

Aibu to be worrying about DD after her 8w jabs?

She had them two days ago, was pretty grotty the first night but ok yday. Woke a lot last night but didn't want feeding. Today she has cried through every feed as if she has a tummy ache. She had an explosive nappy (,) this morning and since then has seemed a bit constipated. She is eating about two thirds of her usual amount but it is a struggle as she keeps stopping to cry.

This evening she is rather limp :( just lying asleep on my shoulder.

Am I being PFB to be getting worried? Anyone else had similar 8w jab experience? They get hit with such a lot all at once I am in one sense not surprised if they get unwell. But I don't know any other babies in RL who have had the jabs so nothing to compare.

Don't panic - I don't think it's terribly unusual - however, I'm not normally one to go to the Drs but I would take her.

Better safe than sorry.

Hope she's better soon!

Gave her calpol the evening that she had had the jabs.
May give her more now, but worried in case it masks a real problem :(

Take her to a walk in or a&e to get checked over.

Hopefully she is fine but its always worth seeing someone if you are worried, especially at that age.

DH thinks I am silly to be worrying. I kind of think I am too. But she is not herself :(

I'm sure at 8 weeks were we told anything out of the ordinary that made us worried to get dd seen by a doctor especially if it was over 24 hours since the jab. If you are concerned, pop her to the doctor.

Call the dr, hopefully it is nothing but I always say get it checked out. If it turns out you have been pfb then good because your dd is ok, and if not then you are getting her seen to quickly. With my pfb the dr told me to always call if I was worried because better to be safe than sorry.

I agree, at 8 weeks you want to be getting a medical professional to see a baby you have any concerns about.

They're not going to grump if you phone OOH. That's what they're there for.

Have you tried Nhs 24? I think they'd be fairly useless and tell you to give her calpol. But may be worth a try to see if they have any advice. Is she sleeping any more/less?

Limp and crying not good. Go o a and e. Do not bother with phonelines..babies need to be examined..

I'm quite sure the jabs and the illness are a coincidence.

The issue here is that your baby is limp. Get her checked out - I would say get to A&E before the Friday night rush.

Stupid phone.

Give her calpol and get her to feed. If she's still limp I'd get her seen or phone 111.

Get her seen - there really is no telling what is going on with her - it could be something, it could also be nothing but Sherbertstraws sums it up to be honest. I am also a great believer in 'mother knows best' -presuming you're the one that's with her for the majority of the time - you'll be the one that really knows if she's not herself.
I'm sure I went with my DD far too often in the early days, but everybody was just very very understanding and pleased we'd gone rather than sat home worrying - you really have nothing to lose and potentially a lot to gain.

Doctors really don't mind seeing babies. I'm sure she's fine, but get her checked anyway, so you can sleep tonight.

I think as they were two days ago you should get her checked out. Don't worry about it being PFB if it puts your mind at rest. My DD was a bit limp for 24 hours after her jabs, she just ate and slept and ate and slept but she was more like her usual self the next day.

I hope you get some reassurance. It can be really scary when they are so little.

Thanks everyone so much!
She is feeding now, much more calmly than earlier and getting thru a decent amount.
Going to give her calpol after feed.
Then will call OOH and see what they say.

You are worried. Take her to A&E and have her checked over. I personally wouldn't bother with the phone lines.

Glad she's feeding now. It's probably an after effect of the jabs. If you are worried call OOH. When I say wake get up, I mean strip her off, get her to cry. If shes still limp/unresponsive you need to take her to a&e.

it all sound quite "normal" untill you said limp.
