Passed my driving test last week. AIBU to think that I can drive with my 2yo daughter in the car after a couple of weeks.

The first thing I did when I got home from school after passing my test was jump into the car on my own and drive to my friend's house. Scary but amazing feeling. It will be great to be able to take your 2YO somewhere on your own.

My Mum passed her test when I was about 5 and I vividly remember her driving into town the following day and feeling a little scared (it was her fifth attempt).

Very strange to think you can't drive with her straight away. Enjoy the freedom!

Well I wouldn't recommend joining the M6 but keep local and quiet routes to begin with to build up your confidence and you will be fine.

But sad that your dh isn't helping build this confidence.

Willababy my son was 5 when I passed.

After I passed and before I got my car I said to him on the school run "We wont have to do this soon. I'll have a car and we can drive."

He said "I know, me and my brother are gonna be in the back screaming."

Cheers son!
