Ok so on a night out I'm looking in the full length mirror and I think I look ok, and then photos will get added from the night and I think omg am I seriously that big?!

A friend of mine was tagged in a recent photo and I'm not sure if it's the angle but she looks 2 sizes bigger than she does in RL. I see friend most weeks and she's a slim size 10.

aibu to think the camera really does add 10lbs?

It really does! But it also depends on angles and lighting.

Thumbtack · 04/05/2013 11:51

Definately! At least 10lbs in my case Wink

magimedi · 04/05/2013 12:21

YABU - The camera adds more like 20lbs to me. Grin

SamuelWestsMistress · 04/05/2013 12:21

10lbs on each tit and arse cheek here.

DuchessFanny · 04/05/2013 12:22

YABU
My camera ( and camera's of every other person i know) all add 20lbs to my frame, easily. Plus they do something to my hair

SamuelWestsMistress · 04/05/2013 12:27

I always dream if having thick hair and a thin body. But I have thin hair and a thick body.

catgirl1976 · 04/05/2013 12:29

YANBU

I hate photos of myself. It would be nice to think I don't really look like that and blame the camera :)

I think the fecker adds 10 years as well!

Cameras are bastards.

FeralStreep · 04/05/2013 12:33

Wow, you really don't like cameras, do you? Wink Grin

BigBlockSingsong · 04/05/2013 14:11

Stop eating cameras! :')

Mrsrobertduvall · 04/05/2013 14:14

I never ever have my photo taken.
Haven't got a photo of myself since the 1990s.

alarkaspree · 04/05/2013 14:19

I would like to think so but my husband and children all look nice and slim in photos. Just like in real life.

LeaveTheBastid · 04/05/2013 14:19

Cameras don't lie, they just reveal the extra 10lb we refuse to acknowledge when we look in the mirror Wink

Hence why I always take the pictures.

ENormaSnob · 04/05/2013 14:36

Yabu

They add about 28lb ime.

Saidar · 04/05/2013 15:15

I'm with LeaveTheBastid.

The camera adds nothing, the cakes and pies on the other hand.....

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/05/2013 15:16

I like that joke, cameras add 10 pounds. How many cameras are on you? In my case at least 2 3.

AubreyMegan · 04/05/2013 15:22

Yeah it just surprised me to see my friend who I would guess is a size 10 looking more like a size 14/16. When I only saw her a couple of days before and it didn't look like she'd gained any weight.

Meh. I'm obvs just in denial when it comes to me Grin - I really am a size 8 .... it's the camera whos a liar.

I think it's well known that people look bigger both in photos and on film, which is why celebs are all so obsessed with being thin.
