posted here a wanting a quick reply (so as not to waste other people's time).

... freecycle ettiquette before signing up. He did so this afternoon.

Offering a fridge/freezer:

Person 1 wanted photos - DH took and sent
Person 2 said yes please as their reply
Person 1 came back and said yes please.

Who should get it?

DH says Person 2 as they gave a solid Yes first. I don't know but he wants to be fair.

Person 2, because they said yes first.

NewPerspective · 02/05/2013 18:17

I'd go with person 1 as you were already "in conversation" with them.

StuntGirl · 02/05/2013 18:17

Whoever he wants!

NewAtThisMalarky · 02/05/2013 18:17

I would say person 1.

Put yourself in their shoes? Would you be most hacked off if you were person 1 and didn't get it, of person 2 and didn't get it?

alienbanana · 02/05/2013 18:17

But I would give it to the person who could collect soonest, :)

DiscoDonkey · 02/05/2013 18:19

Person 1

PatPig · 02/05/2013 18:19

Person 2, for not being a choosy motherfucker.

alienbanana · 02/05/2013 18:22

Whichever one you decide on will probably fail to collect, then you'll end up giving it to the other one anyway :)

elfycat · 02/05/2013 18:25

Thank you all for your answers. He decided on person 2, their reply was 'nicer' and they gave a time frame when they would be able to collect (tomorrow and we're in tiling the kitchen).

PatPig your reaoning may also have played a part

Give the fridge to 1 and the freezer to the other...

MikeOxard · 02/05/2013 22:18

I'd have done exactly the same as him.
