Cats rule.

Indeed my cats rule the house and all in it but they are worshipped.

JennySense · 30/04/2013 18:15

LOl that the difference I suppose - personally I prefer a dog who believes I am a Living God ;)

Sallystyle · 30/04/2013 18:19

One of mine is. I sometimes feel a bit suffocated by him. He never, ever leaves my side and because he is only 3 pounds he's pretty much always snuggled under my top.

He had a bad start so I tried to make it up to him and went over the top Grin he's a lovely little dog, just clingy.

thebody · 30/04/2013 18:19

Dogs have owners, cats have staff!

thebody · 30/04/2013 18:20

If you feed a dog the dog thinks you are a god.

If you feed a cat the cat knows they are a god.

Sorry!!! Bloody fridge magnets.

whois · 30/04/2013 18:22

YANBU

I can't start how high maintenance they are. Cats totally rule.

tabulahrasa · 30/04/2013 18:22

My cat's clingier than the dog...in fact she beats up the dog if he comes over to me for a cuddle.

PatPig · 30/04/2013 18:22

Fuck cats.

Saski · 30/04/2013 18:25

Hate cats, love dogs.

Sparklingbrook · 30/04/2013 18:26

Owning a dog must be like having another child to look after. My magnet says 'Happiness is being owned by a cat' thebody. Smile

BlueSkySunnyDay · 30/04/2013 18:27

If your neighbour feeds your cat nicer food it will move out. If my neighbour feeds my dog nicer food it will eat it then come home.

I hate cats - strangely because they are needy all that rubbing round your legs, purring and sitting on your knee. If the dog wants attention she will bump my hand with her head - she likes to know where I am but will often lay under the table in another room.

thebody · 30/04/2013 18:27

Well I love all animals ESP digs and cats but if you work FT and noone is home then cats are far more Independant.

thebody · 30/04/2013 18:28

Love that sparkling.

BlueSkySunnyDay · 30/04/2013 18:28

Oh and when the children are being shitty and upset me the dog always comes over to comfort me.

lougle · 30/04/2013 18:28

Dogs are needy. Of course they are. They need to be loved as much as they love.

Our dog is currently sleeping on top of DD2's blanket, keeping her company - he's a dog that gives back Smile

Sparklingbrook · 30/04/2013 18:30

A dog round here gets left most of the day. It cries. Sad Sparkling Cat does not cry if I leave the house.

MardyBra · 30/04/2013 18:44

Oh and guinea pigs are a waste of space. Wink

Sparklingbrook · 30/04/2013 18:49

I thought Guinea Pigs existed purely as a friend for a rabbit. Grin

patienceisvirtuous · 30/04/2013 18:56

Dogs are brilliant. Guinea pigs are ace. Rabbits are cute. Cats are.... ok ;)

EggsMichelle · 30/04/2013 19:01

Guineapigs are amazing, so chatty! My dog can't grasp that he weighs 25kg more than the cat, and that's why the cat can sit on my lap and not the dog. However the dog is more Interactive with my DS

BlueSkySunnyDay · 30/04/2013 19:02

oh Mardy Bra - there is no hope, you dont like guinea pigs either they are lovely characters. Now tell me you like rabbits (creepy things)

Obviously dogs shouldnt be left for longer than 4 hours so they are more of a tie but they are worth the effort.

cats if they have a flap have the option of popping round to spend the day with a nice local pensioner.

D0oinMeCleanin · 30/04/2013 19:03

Dogs are not needy. Bloody guppies are needy, at least when my dog goes to the loo all I need to do is bag and bin it, guppies need you to create and maintain their own living toilet for them and then go and have millions of tiny guppy babies and mess up their living toilet and you have to start cleaning it more.

AngiBolen · 30/04/2013 19:06

I looked after someones dog for a week once. It followed me round constantly with big sad eyes. It apparently needed to sleep in my bedroom. It needed regular walks and loads of fuss.

Needy doesn't come near.
