He has been at the park since half four playing footy. I told him to ring me for a lift back when he wanted to come home. He has just rung. he said he doesn't want to come home but could I go and get him some chips and take them up to him because he's starving.

Nice try. Grin

Isn't he thirsty as well then? And maybe you could get enough for the whole team Grin

MrsTerryPratchett · 19/04/2013 19:38

While you're at it, fetch one for me. Mine's a battered sausage.

Sparklingbrook · 19/04/2013 19:38

Feel free to share any stories of jaw dropping cheek from your DC's. Grin

zoobaby · 19/04/2013 19:39

Haha. Brilliant. Don't suppose you could bring me some too? Grin

Sparklingbrook · 19/04/2013 19:39

Ooh yes, a drink inkle. MrsT is that the same as a saveloy?

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 19/04/2013 19:40

Right, what does everyone want from the chippy? Hmm

OP posts:
InkleWinkle · 19/04/2013 19:42

White pudding supper please.
Do you get them where you are or is that a Scottish thing?

Sparklingbrook · 19/04/2013 19:44

No, not heard of that in deepest Worcestershire Inkle. I'll get you some pickled eggs instead. Grin

OP posts:
MrsTerryPratchett · 19/04/2013 19:45

Saveloy, battered. I have a 2 yo so it's all demanding cheek at the moment.

YoniBraxton · 19/04/2013 19:48

Cheese and onion pasty, pineapple fritter, chips and mushy peas please.

ChairmanWow · 19/04/2013 19:49

I'm just in the bath at the moment. Could you fetch me up a tea please. Some biccies wouldn't go amiss either. In the cupboard above the kettle.

Ta.

Sparklingbrook · 19/04/2013 19:49

Blimey Yoni hope that's to share. Grin

ChairmanWow · 19/04/2013 19:50

And can you do it before you go to the chippy cos you're going to be there for a while.

Sparklingbrook · 19/04/2013 19:51

Malted Milk, Shortbread, or Custard creams Chairman?

OP posts:
InkleWinkle · 19/04/2013 19:53

I have never had a pickled egg! They do have them here though I think.

Plus, where we are, we get salt n sauce not salt n vinegar. Yummy!

Sparklingbrook · 19/04/2013 19:53

What;s in the sauce Inkle? Confused

landofsoapandglory · 19/04/2013 19:56

He's being a cheeky monkey Sparkling.

If you're making tea, I'll have a peppermint one, I've got a dicky tummy.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/04/2013 20:00

And a Deep-Fried-Mars-Bar for afters.

Are you still here Sparkling ?
Your boy is staaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrvvving.

ChairmanWow · 19/04/2013 20:00

Ooh Sparkling I've not had a malted milk in years! I'll have some of them please.

Sparklingbrook · 19/04/2013 20:01

Still here. Grin They were doing deep fried creme eggs at Easter 70.

OP posts:
70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/04/2013 20:07

I really covet the Deep Fried Bounty Bars with fresh pineapple that Nigella did Smile

Wouldn't a Deep Fried Creme Egg look like a Deep Fried Turd Envy

bedmonster · 19/04/2013 20:16

Oh good GOD. I am salivating. I don't even like fish and chips that much, but a fortnight of eating really sensibly has left me dreaming of...
battered sausage, chips and a pickled onion. I'll also have a full fat can of coke, 2 sachets of ketchup (make sure it Heinz or you can pick some up from my corner shop on the way). Salted please/ NO vinegar. Also, I will have 2 deep fried mars bars for afters. Cheers!
I'm going to have a run now, so if you time it right, let yourself in in 45 minutes when i'm just getting out of the shower. Thanks Sparkling, you're a diamond!
Oh, and tell your son to get stuffed. Greedy sod. Honestly, kids of today...

InkleWinkle · 19/04/2013 20:30

The sauce is a brown, vinegary sauce which I think the chip shops make themselves (at least they used to).
It's lovely Grin
Very much an east coast thing ( and maybe even more localised than that)

dementedmumof6 · 19/04/2013 21:26

Talk of pure cheek, my eldest asked me the other day for taxi fare to school as he was running late, which in itself wouldn't be that cheeky if wasn't for everyone else myself included were heading for the bus
