How does when then FaceTime affect you?

BuntyCollocks · 16/04/2013 17:07

*they

porkypoo · 16/04/2013 17:09

Just because people are getting dressed and ready for work/school etc and he does it all over the house. Just think some things are left to the imagination! Wink

I'm amazed that he's up and willingly doing at 8am!

Why bother about it? It would just be phone calls or texts otherwise.

usualsuspect · 16/04/2013 17:09

What are your reasons?

usualsuspect · 16/04/2013 17:10

I think YABU.

Do you stand behind him getting dressed?

HollyBerryBush · 16/04/2013 17:11

What is 'face time'?

Sirzy · 16/04/2013 17:11

Well just dont walk behind him while your naked then!

porkypoo · 16/04/2013 17:15

I have a DD too who is getting ready at that time too. Just thought he should respect other peoples privacy too? He cleans his teeth, has breakfast etc etc facetiming. Trying to assess if its worth sticking my ground on this one! Confused.

and i'm sure my singing in the shower does nothing for his street cred. Wink. HollyBerryBush is just video chat.

cozietoesie · 16/04/2013 17:17

I'd say not. If coochy coo at breakfast makes you ill, just ask him to take it to his room/another room.

IslaValargeone · 16/04/2013 17:18

I thought it was just me who finds face time intrusive.

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 16/04/2013 17:19

What is Face time? I have never heard of it.

usualsuspect · 16/04/2013 17:20

I would just ask him to face time in one room. I wouldn't ban it.

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 16/04/2013 17:20

Sorry, I misread your earlier reply re this!

QuinionsRainbow · 16/04/2013 17:21

What is "Facetime"? The third time of asking!

CaffeDoppio · 16/04/2013 17:21

Gosh. Anyone seeing me over a video link at any time before 11am would only want that experience once in their life! Face like a carrier bag and hair like a dropped Mr Whippy - pretty it is not!
YANBU. Ask him to confine it to his space.

IslaValargeone · 16/04/2013 17:22

It's like a video chat Rainbow.
It was answered upthread.
You can do it on an i-pad i-phone etc.

ClutchingPearls · 16/04/2013 17:23

I wouldn't want someone wandering around my house at that time, which is effectively what's happening. I think it should be confined to his room, although you probably will have to accept he may decide to eat breakfast in his room as well.

Startail · 16/04/2013 17:27

YANBU
People wandering about in all states of undress with wild hair in rushed half asleep chaos first thing in the morning.

Definitely not for sharing.

WowOoo · 16/04/2013 17:28

Facetime is -You can see someone and they can see you on the same screen whilst you are talking. You can walk around and show stuff if you want to - it's on iPhone 4 and 5.

It would annoy me at 8am. Tell him to stay in his room.
Tell him to actually brush his teeth properly and concentrate on what he is doing and get off the blooming phone....Oh, young love!

porkypoo · 16/04/2013 18:42

Just spoke to DS that conversation went well..Wine Hmm

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 16/04/2013 18:48

Ah well - he's 16, got a hot girlfriend and has been enjoying showing off a bit in front of the old fogeys and his DSis. Just remember - it probably won't last much longer.

And then you'll have to deal with the 'Woe is me' at breakfast. You can't win.
