DD wees OUT of the potty

Does anyone else get this? Dd2 sits on the potty and wees, but the wee comes shooting out the front on the potty all over her feet and the floor.

Dd1 never did that!

What can I do? Dd2 is only 3, she won't understand d any complex explanations, and she is only just getting used to not wearing a nappy so has weed on the stairs on the way to the toilet loads.

I've had this before and swapped to a potty chair, we had a cheap one shaped like a teddy with a removable bit.
Better for taller bigger dc's I found.

She is quite small and stocky, well, very small, but built like a little rugby player

Does the potty have a higher back? Try turning it round. Had to do this with ds as he'd wee everywhere otherwise.

would she go straight to the toilet and miss the potty stage?

potty never worked for either of my DD
