I love Spongebob, me and,Dh have been known to watch it when the DDs have gone out Blush.

spanky2 · 02/04/2013 10:11

I love it too. Blush Plankton is brilliant . I love it when he sings to 'my computer wife Karen ' .Gary takes a bath is brilliant too.

ScumbagCollegeDropout · 02/04/2013 10:15

'Gary takes a bath' is the work of pure comedic genius.

YANBU at all.

It's hilarious, clever and excedingly well-written.

I love Spongebob's face when he realises that Squidward loves Krabby Patties Grin

MomaP · 02/04/2013 10:17

I am almost certain they pop adult humour in a fair amount of the episodes. Grin Either that or I really am just easily pleased when it comes to SpongeBob.

Oh of course they do!

All the best cartoons do.

The spongebob I watched the other day referenced Full Metal Jacket. Brilliant.

LadyBeaEGGleEyes · 02/04/2013 10:46

Haven't watched it since ds stopped but it did used to make me chuckle too.
Does anybody remember the sea bear (I think it was) when they were on a camping trip?

Zhx3 · 02/04/2013 10:47

I love Spongebob!

Think my favourite episode was when Patrick's "parents" came to stay Grin.

Kneedeepindaisies · 02/04/2013 10:48

YANBU especially if you laugh like a lion at the episode where Spongebob is told he can't laugh anymore and then sees a van crash and spill whoopie cushions everywhere.
Genius.

CandyCrushed · 02/04/2013 10:51

YANBU

It first came out when my DC's were little, we all thought it brilliant.

SPsFanjoTheBigStickyHaribo · 02/04/2013 10:53

YANBU!

I love it and so does the toddler. I record episodes for us to watch.

I love the one where they find the clam and decide to become parents.

The movie gets me every time!! The david hasslehoff moments and the part at the end where Patrick and Karen the computer are rocking out to SpongeBob singing the goofey goober rock song and Patrick is wearing heels and fishnet tights! What the heck? hahaha!!

Another Spongebob fan here. Thankfully my dd is obsessed so I can sit and watch with her. Loved the film- far too many classic moments to choose from, but the Hoff and Patrick in fishnets definitely up there!

SPsFanjoTheBigStickyHaribo · 02/04/2013 11:18

I got my son the movie in DVD for Easter and we both loved it! Especially Patrick in his fishnets!

We are watching Spongebob now. The one where they go to the beach and Patrick makes a sand rocket!

spanky2 · 02/04/2013 11:31

I remember the sea bear .

twinklesparkles · 02/04/2013 11:52

Yanbu :) its awesome

Love plankton [bugrin]

ArtVandelay · 02/04/2013 11:58

YANBU SB is amazing. It's so funny but also I find SBs optimism and kindness very touching.

wonderingsoul · 02/04/2013 12:04

ya nbu ds4 was OBSSED. as in it was the only thing he would watch. or took any intrest in. he has imaginary friends.

plankton.. hes so small you cant see him and of course Karen the computer. he walks round talking to them.

he once stopped talking to his best friend for a whole hour because C had pushed plankton of the bed... the worse thing was they had been chatting and playing something completely different when he randomly went into melt down saying she had pushed him... poor girl didnt know what to do.

MomaP · 02/04/2013 12:17

wonderingsoul My 5 year old DS is also obsessed.

My DH used to laugh at me for giggling at SB, until he sat and watched it with DS, I caught him laughing away. Wink

I love the episode where they go to the beach, with the idea of building sandcastle's until they start building real life castles, rockets, soldiers and fighting each other. So funny!!
