To have never done the whole Easter Bunny thing?

My fb was plastered with pictures this morning of my friend's posting pictures saying something along the lines of 'Easter Bunny has been'. It looks like Christmas with all the presents and eggs.

We've never done it before, neither dp or I had it frowig up and it's just never been an issue. we've always just bought each of them an egg and that was that.

AIBU to not 'do' the Easter Bunny? If FB is anything to go by, I'm the only one not doing a big song and dance like Christmas.

Dunno but I've never done it. Growing up Easter seemed to be a holiday where we spent a bit more time at church than normal - and had a small easter egg as recompense!

Haven't done it with DD (nearly 2) yet either, and not sure if I want to... so I suppose YANBU.

Each to their own. I never had it growing up and was determined my DC would have the magic of it so I do.

If your children ask about the Easter Bunny, what do you say?

Never had it growing up and don't think I know anyone who does it. Do people actually tell the kids there is a magic Bunny who comes like Santa? [buconfused]

I find it funny anyway that the whole Easter bunny thing has just got so big - considering it originates from Eostre the Pagan Goddess of spring and fertility (possibly the same Goddess as Freyja) - who was represented by a hare not a rabbit anyway....

I did the hide eggs around the house thing but no, I didn't pretend to the children that they were left there by a Bunny.

DS (3yo) got very confused about the Easter Bunny and has been hiding his eggs from him. Assuming it is coming from nursery and school as I've never done it. But always have an egg hunt.

I don't recall having the Easter bunny when I was younger, I never had to FIND my egg in any case. Not sure what I'll do with my children.
