Than watching your child be ridiculously excited and happy about something is there?

We have four terracotta meercats in our garden which ds adores.

At the zoo today the meercats were right up at the front of the enclosure and even had a little play right in front of ds, rolling and jumping on each other. He was amazed and laughed himself silly.

Things like that definitely make the public screaming tantrums easier to get through!

You are absolutely right - little things like that are pure pleasure.

Lovely thread OP. Sometimes I need to remember the joyful moments when I've had a stressful week with them. They are only children for such a short time. I need to remember that. Thanks for a lovely reminder and a very sweet story about your little boy and the meerkats.

We had a similar encounter with our DTs and some penguins at a wildlife centre the other day. They were giggling away for about 20 minutes. Was lovely.
