He's on the TV now.

Not sure about revolting but he does nothing for me.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 21/03/2013 12:05

It is the bulging eyes. And his mouth. He looks like he could be very cruel.

grovel · 21/03/2013 12:07

His tone at the moment is gratuitously offensive and his speech has zero content.

I don't really care what he looks like.

I suspect he'd make a much better job of being chancellor than Osbourne though, considering he has a degree in economics.

Redbindy · 21/03/2013 12:11

Ed Bollocks has an economics degree? He must have forgotten everything he was taught.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 21/03/2013 12:11

Do you really think so? Considering that he was the driving force behind much of the disastrous economic policy of the last Government?

airforce1 · 21/03/2013 12:12

YANBU, because George is MUCH more attractive (see other thread). Check out the sex face :)

YouTheCat · 21/03/2013 12:12

He has a first in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

Osborne has a 2:1 in Modern History.

I know who I'd rather have holding the purse strings.

TheCraicDealer · 21/03/2013 12:13

He looks like a villain from a Charles Dickens novel. Am aware this has no bearing on his abilities as a cabinet minister, shadow or otherwise, but to be honest I don't think he's been too hot there either.

TheCraicDealer · 21/03/2013 12:16

David Cameron, Danny Alexander and William Hague also all have PPE degrees. Moot point.

grovel · 21/03/2013 12:16

His father was a socialist who slammed grammar schools and then gave young Ed a private education. Still, shouldn't blame Ed for that.

OP posts:
YouTheCat · 21/03/2013 12:17

Yes, but Ed finished ahead of all of them.

YouTheCat · 21/03/2013 12:17

Osborne's mum is a Labour voter who campaigned against the Vietnam war.

treaclesoda · 21/03/2013 12:19

I find him rather patronising and smug.

Mind you, I find most politicians rather patronising and smug...

airforce1 · 21/03/2013 12:21

Ed has more balls than most. Shame it's cos of his name.

YouTheCat · 21/03/2013 12:21

All politicians are smug.

But tbh, my cat could do a better job as chancellor than Osborne.

kitty1976 · 21/03/2013 12:23

Considering what a mess Ed Balls made of the economy under labour he can not be trusted in the slightest, we will be suffering for his errors for years to come, and yes he is vile, watch him on the HOC and even he is constantly has this horrible smug look. I would prefer anyone but him to be the next chancellor.

airforce1 · 21/03/2013 12:24

He should change his name to Alcock. Cos then he'd be all cock and no balls.

grovel · 21/03/2013 12:24

I think he's a negative for Labour. Miliband should appoint someone less compromised by having been one of Brown's "bullying clique" (along with the likes of Whelan and McBride). Maybe his wife?

OP posts:
Mopswerver · 21/03/2013 12:28

Agree. Can't bear him. I have always been a Labour supporter but I find his sweaty demeanour and bulging red eyes very off putting. He's also very aggressive and comes across as sly so I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. He is one of three reasons I am totally put off Labour right now. The other two are his wife Yvette Cooper and of course Wallace himself, Ed Milliband.

airforce1 · 21/03/2013 12:32

If Ed Milliband had ear trouble when he was swimming, would he be Wallace and Gromits?

Domjolly · 21/03/2013 12:42

I think the think i dont like is that he seems to almost relish when this go bad in the economy saying that he would have made a better leader than milliband

crossparsley · 21/03/2013 12:53

YANBU. He's vile. I know people who have had to work with him in the past. That over-aggressive style is covering up something and I suspect it will only get worse with time. He's a massive negative for me.

GeorginaWorsley · 21/03/2013 13:24

Cannot stand him.
Rude, aggressive man who seems to have learnt nothing from his mistakes.

Callisto · 21/03/2013 13:30

He is truly appalling. I can't believe he is shadow chancellor after his many many cock-ups (balls-ups?) tbh.
