To feel like having some time away with dh

Ds is 9months and I adore him and would never have thought about going away but I am starting to fancy a break away from him as I feel exhausted for a weekend and have him looked after by grandparents. Am I being selfish?

Not selfish at all! 9mo is the time with both my DCs when I emerged from the new-baby fog and needed to be "myself" for a bit.

Go for it, assuming you have obliging parents to help!

Hell no! It'll be great for you to be and for a bit rather than mum and dad! It's a big relationship change when you have a baby and a little break will help you find each other again.
You dc will be fine and grandparents generally relish the occasional time with the kids alone!

Have fun!
