For a week now I have been ill. There are 3 adults in our house. Not once was I offered a cup of tea or any sympathy.

How come, now the man has caught it, he is dying and feels ill and can't work or do anything and is getting upset everytime I say 'would you like a cup of tea' in a sarcastic voice?

My sympathy has runneth out. AIBU??

Did you whine a lot when you were ill or just suffer in silence? I find I get more sympathy if I whine a bit and waft about listlessly...

not fair!! I am very kind and nursey when others are ill but get mighty upset when they don't reciprocate!

Princess - I lay about in a ladylike faint, with hand to brow, and covered with a blanket. My lot are made of sterner stuff than yours, I suspect, as it had no effect at all !!

A few weeks back a news item about man flu said that it was real and men did suffer more,I cannot be bothered to find the link or give you the scientific data that was shown
So stop your moaning and mop his brow and peel him a grape

YANBU. I can't abide adults who act like children.
