to think I may be due some money back?

SORRY in advance, I know this is wrong topic but need quick answer! Can't find anything to clarify anywhere else online....I decided not to go back to work last June after maternity leave...was paid about £4000 April - June in mat pay....AIBU to think I may be due a tax rebate as you can earn up to £9500 without paying tax?
Thanks so much to anyone who can help, I need to know asap for reasons I won't go into, the money would be so much help....

YANBU. Phone the tax office and ask them what you need to do to get it processed.

I've had tax refunds a couple of times for various reasons. The first time (when I went into full time education) I had to sign a form to say I wouldn't be working for the remainder of the financial year. The second time I think they just automatically sent a cheque some time in April or May for the refund for the previous tax year.
