To think bronzer looks cheap?

Well does it? I wear it, I'm a bit olive toned and think it gives me a bit of colour but then today I wondered if it just looks cheap and tacky.

Depends on your skin colour. I have ivory skin so on me YANBU but if you have olive skin like yourself its good so YABU.

I like bronzer. A subtle application gives me a healthy glow. Too much however and one can look tangoed. Never a good look Grin

I like it. I can't stand blusher, all that peachy/pinky crap. Give me a good swoosh of bronzer anyday.

ConfuzzledMummy · 18/03/2013 20:21

It only looks cheap if it's applied incorrectly

Maggie111 · 18/03/2013 20:25

Depends on the bronzer more than the skin tone - I have very pale skin but I used to have a lovely Clinique orange toned thing that was beautiful on me.

If you've caught yourself and are undecided then get rid - it either looks great or not!

I prefer bronzer to blusher. Like you I'm olive skinned and I never seem to be able to find a blusher that's suits my colouring. It is all in the application though. Too much and it looks ridiculous.

specialsubject · 18/03/2013 20:29

ok. I'll admit cluelessness - what is bronzer?

clearly it can't be something that makes you look tanned as the OP said she has olive skin. (which I take it means light brown, not green!)

My clinique uplighting liquid bronzer is wonderful.

It makes me look healthy and gives me a lovely glow. Nothing cheap looking about it. It is all about the colour and application.

I've got a great one, dior, and I think I put it on right, temples, cheeks, chin, arse....actually not arse, thought I'd throw that in. I don't know I was wondering if just mascara and a good lipstick looks a bit more sophisticated.
