Out for the first time in years with girl friends... Feel old, fat and remember dancing to these songs the first time round before they became remixes! Can i go home to DH and my lovely snuggly soft DD or do i stick it out and hope i start to feel young again soon??

Everything you need is there.

Put it this way

If you're out with friends and you're turning to an internet site for company, you should have gone home long ago.

You can't change you age, you can change your weight and there's nothing wrong with retro music.

Not sure why you would want to feel young again or what that has to do with spending time with your friends? Unless they're stuck in some sort of time warp and you are the only one getting older?

Just call the cab and ask them to stop off at the kebab house on the way Grin

AgentZigzag · 17/03/2013 00:42

What songs were they playing by the by?

BubblegumPie · 17/03/2013 00:42

We drove through the city I spent 15 years of my late teens/early 20s in on Friday, and just seeing the youngsters starting their nights out on the lash did make me pine a bit for that feeling of 'anything could happen' and looking forward to seeing who had enough cash to go out.

BOF · 17/03/2013 00:49

It's nice to go out, but it's nice to go home Grin

DeepRedBetty · 17/03/2013 00:53

Come home. The sort of 'out' you're describing is the cattle market we all used to go to before we had our (mostly) lovely dps and babies. Huge fun at the time but that was then. This is now.

Thanks ladies i am going to get my solitary coat from the cloakroom (nubile 18 year olds have no need for such garments) and make my excuses to go! My friends don't have kids and are mostly single and this is their scene but not mine anymore Smile

I may be going against the grain but I'd probably down a few tequilla shots, be the crazy dancing queen, have a thoroughly bloody excellent night, not give a shite what the 'yoof' think and chuckle at them making excuses for me.

I don't get out much. But when I do make the effort to, I'm not going to let anything make me feel past it. (I also always wear a coat).

Don't try and compete, you'll look a seriously pathetic twat, just BE.

If all else fails, go home.

Done both, but alway schuckle at the night I threw caution to the wind, stuck two fingers up at 'knowing my (age) place' and just had fun much more than the nights I looked around and realised I could have birthed my companions AND could fit 3 of them in each trouser leg. Grin

(I'm not saying this is the cool approach. Forget cool. You're a paying customer, do what you want).

Are you home yet?
