To think that biscuits are best with tea...

DD (4) thinks that biscuits are best dunked in chocolate ovaltine. This is clearly very unreasonable and the correct fluid to dunk a biscuit in is tea. You know, the builders kind that a spoon will stand up in. I'm very concerned at her shocking opinions. Where will it end? Before you know it we'll be eating Chocolate philly. It. Just. Won't. Do.

Yanbu. Tell dd to sort it out or sell her on eBay.

Biscuits are always the best with tea :)

Cheap cookies.. Digestives...custard creams... Hmm one guess where I'm going off to now Smile

freddiefrog · 15/03/2013 13:41

Yuk! I hate tea

The correct drink is obviously coffee Grin

I had a very in depth discussion about this with a friend recently. We both came to the conclusion that we just never ate biscuits unless we had coffee to dunk them in

SpottyTeacakes · 15/03/2013 13:44

YABU to dunk biscuits at all.

Tubegirl · 15/03/2013 13:45

Excellent idea Haylebop. Should I include her toys or sell them separately? I'm not convinced you always get the best price with bundles.

Oi SpottyTeacakes - NO. You are clearly a very unreasonable person. Not dunk biscuits? The very idea.

YANBU. Heston whatshisname did a scientific experiment which proved biscuits are more tasty when dunked in tea. So it must be true, right?

SpottyTeacakes · 15/03/2013 13:49

So uncouth Wink

I don't mind dunking in someone else's tea just not my own yucky crumbs

Tubegirl · 15/03/2013 13:52

Freddie I'm still shuddering at the idea of coffee full stop let alone the unspeakable horror of taking a perfectly delicious biscuit and ruining it by putting it in coffee.

Definitely with, you might as well de clutter whilst your at it! I'd invest in a child that knows the correct way of dunking.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 15/03/2013 13:53

I dunk my biscuits in either coffee or cold milk. The only tea I drink is a herbal one, and you couldn't dunk a biscuit in that - it would be all kinds of wrong!

rcs19 · 15/03/2013 13:57

Your dd is absolutely right. Chocolate ovaltine is the perfect drink for dunking any biscuit. It became my hot drink of choice when I went off coffee during pregnancy, still get through gallons of it 3 years on. I find a ginger biscuit (or half a packet, if i'm honest) is a good combination.

Haylebop12 · 15/03/2013 14:02

There ya go tubegirl sounds like rcs can provide the perfect home for your dd. they can do their dunking together.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/03/2013 14:09

Coffee- strong and milky.
Biscuits only dipped in so that they don't disintegrate.

Heston B you are soooo wrong WRT the tea.

Tubegirl · 15/03/2013 14:11

Yes haylebop but there is still the question of 'buy it now' price Grin

70, as Peter kay has pointed out if you have hobnobs you can re-dunk. They are the SAS of the biscuit world imho.

Dillydolly - it is always good to have the research to back up one's points. Thank you kindly. Smile
