to think I didn't get the job

Was shortlisted for a job. There are 18 vacancies and there were 31 of us at the interview day today. I was the 28th to be interviewed by a panel of just two professionals. The first question was 'tell us about yourself'. Fair enough. I said what I though was relevant and (hopefully) interesting. The next six questions related to the role. I asked two questions at the end. At no time during the interview did either interviewer make any notes. Not a scribble. The interview was not being taped, filmed or otherwise recorded. AIBU to assume that the 18 vacancies had been filled before I walked into the room and they were just going through the motions? Sad

Yes! Don't panic. I regularly interview with people who take no notes at all. There is probably a feedback form they fill in afterwards before the next interview! I take a lot of notes, but I rarely have to refer back to them when I'm filling in the forms afterwards. If you don't get it, make sure you ask for the feedback. Good luck!!

Congrats :)

I've never been filmed or taped at an interview, I've had notes taken but they were I response to technical questions.

ilovesooty · 15/03/2013 22:33

Well done!

Congratulations! It's so easy to over analyse when you've been in an interview.

I thought I'd fucked up my interview recently but I got through and had a final interview today but the ceo is travelling next week so won't meet with the director till later in the week so won't know till next friday - I am going over it in my head again and again. I've even worried that I felt I did ok this time so maybe that as last time I felt dreadful it means I have failed this time Confused. I'm going to be doing my nut in for a week now!

Well done again - fab news :)
