To have little sympathy for her.......

I don't normally read red tops but this caught my eye..... I find it hard to feel for someone that admits they won't at least try and help themselves...

Just wondering if I am been a little harsh and unreasonable.

YANBU.
Im obese..only now am I able to admit that to myself and others, but I still work and look after my children.
I wanted weight loss surgery but my gp said I wasn't eligible..I've joined Slimming World and so far this year I've lost 19lbs. It's going to be a long while before Im classed as healthy but I will do it.
Shes annoyed me by saying she can't lose weight and that she needs surgery when shes not even attempting to 'diet'. She proved she can do it for her wedding.
But I do tend to agree with her comment about addicts getting loads of help whereas obese people are targeted as just being greedy, overeating can be an addiction.

I'm on the fence a bit, obviously that story will have been written to make her look as bad as possible so we don't really know what she's done for herself. BUT it says the reason she was refused help was because she refused to change her lifestyle, if that's the case then I have no sympathy for her either. Finding it difficult and needing counselling or advice is different to outright refusing to try.

Well done on your weight loss skinnybitchwannabe, 19lbs is no easy feat!

I think it is the way the article is written. It is the daily mail.

£30,000 in sickness benefits? Hmm. Since when is being fat classed as a disability entitling you to benefits?
