It's my ex's weekend to have the kids. We are going through a difficult patch where we aren't getting on at all in the slightest. I wouldn't give him the pleasure of asking him to swap a weekend so I won't see the kids this Sunday. He knows it's Mother's Day and he didn't offer.

I know IABU because I should have asked him but then he'd have refused and gloated

But damn I wish I'd asked and I am pissed off.

Aaw, YANBU. You're right you could've asked, but he'd probably have said no & then have known for certain that he'd got one over on you.

Make sure you do something lovely for you on sunday, drink a bottle of Rosé in the nice long bath, or something.

Thanks

If he wasn't a twat he would have offered without being asked.

Bridget - that's true. And he turned up here and ranted at me this week so I'm not feeling too well disposed towards him just right now.

He's not going to like the letter he'll be getting at the beginning of the week from my solicitor

But. I chose not to ask him, therefore I can't be pissed off that they're not here. That is very definitely UR
