My father had bilateral cochlear implants on Monday which has left him completely deaf. We are using sign language which I made a point of learning, he said he was learning and mum said she would "pick up". Needless to say, she didnt appreciate the severity of the problem and didnt learn it so her version of signing is....interesting to say the least! He didnt really bother either so its rather an education seeing them trying to communicate!
So, we were discussing his upcoming appointments. She was talking about support, couldnt remember the sign for it and spelling it out frustrates her (cos she cant remeber the alphabet either
) so she grabbed her boobs, mean "bra = support" That was bad enough, she makes this shit up as she goes and then cant understand why we dont get it!
What had me, H and dad in tears with laughing was when I started to spell "support" and did S
Dad - " S....small tits.....?"
She really doesnt have small boobs! She is 5' 2" and well endowed! H and I started laughing, I signed the rest of the word, dad started laughing so hard he had to lie down as his pain is bad when he isnt sitting quietly and mum wondered what on earth was so funny!
He texted me earlier that mums sign name is now "small tits" :o
