Sorry to put this in aibu. I have no idea where to file it.
I teach a baby class on an ad hoc basis when a group of mums get together and ask me to run a course. It's mostly word of mouth. I don't charge much.
A woman recently asked me to run a course and said she would get together the minimum number people to run the course. She didn't get enough people but I drummed up a couple of extras ran the course anyway, under numbers.
She has twins and asked if she needed to pay twice. I said she didn't. Then she came to every class with her adult niece "to help". Really that was 2 adults and 2 babies, but never mind. I still only charged one place.
Then one of her boys got sick and she missed 3 weeks.
She said that instead of me organising 'make-up classes' she would just attend the missing lessons of the next course I run. I do have a course coming up that another woman has asked me to run and has organised enough people to attend.
I think I'm being a bit petty, because there will be space for this woman (and her niece) to attend the next course. And she has paid for lessons she hasn't attended. I can't help feeling a bit peeved though. Not sure why really.
Having read back, I see I am being petty.
It would be different if it was my business, but it's just a little course I run because if I didn't there would be absolutely no one else in the area teaching it and new mums who were interested would miss out.
