I have a 3mo mixed race ds (this is relevant because we live in a predominantly white British area) and, imo, he is the most beautiful creature ever brought into existence. However, whenever we go out, we get told how beautiful/gorgeous/cute/striking he is. Strangers in the street. People in shops. Other mums at baby groups. It goes above and beyond the "Oh what a lovely baby, how old?" standard chit chat.

I'm starting to believe the hype. Tell me IABU, all babies are equally amazing before I get stuck going out of the door!

I thought my newborn ds1 was gorgeous, everone agreed... 20 years later friend admitted they thought he looked like a potato when he was born Shock DS2 was very cute though with huge brown eyes but such a serious face people used to stare at him and go awwww ain't he cuuuute. They both grew up nice ... both handsome but so different if I didn't know better I would think I had slept with the milkman Smile

I bet he is absolutely gorgeous OP! Don't worry, I know exactly what you mean! I still feel like this about my Dd and she is 10. I once read an article where this guy was visiting his wife in hospital. She had just given birth to their son the day before and when he arrived she was sobbing. When he asked her what was wrong she said "Look at this baby, LOOK AT HIM, he is absolutely perfect. I just feel so sorry for all these other women on the ward with their ordinary babies when ours is so amazing"!!! So sweet!

Stepaway, lovely story!

Quick thread hi jack. Just wanted to thank you for all those ideas you gave me on my healthy lunchbox thread a couple of years ago. We put many into practice, the lottery idea was absolutely brilliantly effective! Thanks.

Sorry OP!
