3 more weeks until i ex will no longer be able to take me to court over contact whoop whoop

Before i get flamed he has not seen ds since he was 4 and then last year demanding contact in a letter for his laywer

I responed to his demands and was meet with nothing for a whole year then got another lettter in january again demanding conact

We dd try to ask his lawere were my ex had been for a year since the last letter but they didnt seem to want to answer than at HMP more than likey

Ds hasnt seen ex in so long hes no longer intrested and i am just counting down the days in three weeks the threat will be removed he has been told he needs to seek meadiation before it can go to court by then the legal aid for family law will be stopped and he wont be able to do frigg all

I gald hes decied to turn a new leaf and wants conatct but the problem is ds(13) dosnet want to know.
The torys might even get my vote they have freed us from going bankrupt fighting a court case with somone my son dosent want to see.

How have the Tories contributed to this?

Domjolly · 01/03/2013 19:50

Yes they are stopping legal aid for contact type case allowing only for ONE lot of mediation

You wouldn't have to fight anyway. At 12 the court would take your ds's view into consideration and as he doesn't want to see his dad, they wouldn't be able to make him.

Domjolly · 01/03/2013 19:51

Can i just say i not out to upset anyone but we would have faced bankruptcy if we had to face court.

As we dont qualify for legal aid be he dose

OP posts:
Domjolly · 01/03/2013 19:52

YouTheCat no because you would still have to pay for the forst few court hearings before we got to that bit

You have know way of knowing how far in the judge might ask for the childs view

Hopefully they would do it sharpish but that might still be at,east two court dates with lawers charging £120 a hour also after they hear the childs view they might want more evidence ect

I think it is disgusting that any legal aid is being taken away from anyone who can't afford legal representation.

It may all be hunky dory for you but imagine how many thousands of people this will effect.

Basically once again only if you are rich do you deserve to be able to access services.

I for one cannot congratulate any government that discriminates against the poorest in society.

So sorry but YABU.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 01/03/2013 20:03

Fan fucking tastic for you.

But what about all the poor people who want to see their kids?

Domjolly · 01/03/2013 20:05

Sorry we are not rich and to me thats the whole point that because its free at the point of use he now decided to swan back in after so long and we would face finacial runin if if went to court i stuggling to pay the £280 mediation to keep this out of court till april as it is

I could only imagine a 'Tory supporter' gloating about this. Must be why I hate the Tory swine.

Domjolly · 01/03/2013 20:07

I guess there always be a down side they way the system is now it dosnt work for us who dont get legal aid but dont have any money

Ha ha, typical Tory Attitude "me, me, me".

Well, as long as you're alright pet, fuck everyone else. Congratulations for really grasping the Tory ethos.

I'm sorry that your ex is a twat and I'm glad this means you and your son feel happier but to gloat about something that will negatively affect lots of genuine people isn't nice.
