To start a thread in praise of work colleagues?

Have had some tough times in present role due to a difficult manager and some very difficult colleagues. Following a number of departures, I've ended up working with two women who are bloody fantastic. Supportive, clever, funny and for the first time in ages, I can say (despite not really enjoying the job itself) its a pleasure to go to work. Anyone else?

Well, I have a great manager and great peers, but some really difficult characters in the team I inherited. As a result, I have had a pretty shitty time over the last few years, including a very messy situation with one of my direct reports who ultimately had to be sacked. These days, my "top team" are now fantastic - talented, dedicated and totally trustworthy. We still have some really difficult people issues to grapple with, but we have so much fun in work these days, we laugh a lot and we all know that there is a supportive team to get us through the difficult times. Good colleagues are worth their weight in gold!

I started a new job a few months ago. It was pretty stressful - I'd been made redundant and took the 1st job I could get in the same industry but what felt a backwards step. I struggled like hell with the role (more customer service with people ringing more to complain than anything) and it was my great workmates that made that settling in period bearable to the point that now I come home from work usually feeling good. In the next few weeks I know it's going to go manic, but I know I'll cope purely because we work as a great team, and I know I am extremely lucky to be part of it.

My work colleagues are wonderful. I'm privileged to work with them and proud to count them as my friends.
