Right. I'll go first. My friend's daughter is getting married. My friend told me all about the dress and it sounded heavenly. I looked it up on the interweb and it's just alright. Actually, it's got a couple of clunky design flaws if I'm honest, and I don't think it's going to suit her shape. I feel bitterly disappointed that she had the chance to pick the perfect dress but she has just gone for one that's merely 'nice'. I'm furious to be honest. Grin

I feel like I should tell her mother to tell her that she picked the wrong one. I won't be going to the wedding and I barely know the girl, by the way.

AIBU?

You are obviously an artiste, and the world needs your aesthetic advice. Get yourself out there and start putting them all right- what could possibly go wrong? Grin

Thank you BOF. That's exactly what I thought. Grin

You sound like a lovely kind and concerned person. I can't see how anyone could be upset at being told their wedding dress is clunky by a virtual stranger. You would be doing her a favour. Better to know now than when she sees the wedding video and its too late to turn the clock back.

My AIBU is:

My neighbour has a habit of mowing her lawn in the middle of the afternoon. I like to have a little snooze in front of the telly at that time and like total peace and quiet out on the road. AIBU to tell her to mow the lawn at a more considerate time? 4.00 -4.30 on a Tues, Thurs or Sat suits me as I'm usually doing my shopping at those times.

NoelHeadbands · 27/02/2013 11:29

You should totally tell her. And if you suspect she is too fat for it, you should tell her that also.

atthewelles · 27/02/2013 11:30

Actually my neighbour who mows her lawn could do with losing a few pounds. Maybe I should tell her that as well.

FellNel · 27/02/2013 11:31

YABU atthewelles. People are so thoughtless. You need to move to Germany. They have laws about things like that.

Mine would be

AIBU to tell my neighbour to stop letting her kids out to play in their own front garden as it winds my dog which is bloody annoying

atthewelles · 27/02/2013 11:35

YANBU Freddie. Some people act like they own their front garden.

FellNel · 27/02/2013 11:44

ff I feel for you. People wind up my dogs all the time just by walking past my house. It's so stressful for me, and I think they are incredibly selfish. They are lucky I don't open the front door and just release the hounds, saying 'Kill!'
