doing homework with my kids.
it just makes all 3 of us totally stressed.

i've hated homework since i was in school.

yanbu, I hate it too, with just one dc.

We should all swap dc for homework, they work better for other parents, and we are more patient with someone else's kids.

I used to pretend I didn't have any when I was at school, just to stop my dad from trying to help me. I got more wound up about it if he was there.

Now, I don't get involved at all with my children's unless they ask me to. We do, however, all sit down at the table at the same time to do our 'work'. I do some home admin, or stuff for school (I'm a TA) and the children do their homework. We have the radio on, light the fire in winter, throw the doors open in summer... just to make it less like work. In fact I'd go as far as saying we all quite enjoy the homework hour!

I can't vouch for the quality of the work, it's their homework, not mine .

I suppose it's better than doing it FOR them. Now that's something I have to constantly remind myself
