My work is almost up to date - was last night doing some voluntarily work - just about to snuggle on the sofa with dog for 40 winks ... AIBU ?

Think of it as your lunch hour?

TheChimpParadox · 26/02/2013 12:41

I very often dont take one when I work from home - so time in lie I feel.

When I was pregnant and going through the exhausted nauseous stage I would set my email to ping every time I got one, thus enabling me to sleep on the sofa. Admittedly the job wasn't for me and I didn't return after baby.

No, think of it as time in lieu of the chatter / gossip you are missing out on in the office. I often have a quick shut eye (usually not intentional just sit on the sofa for a minute and off I go).

Turn the volume on your laptop up so you can hear the ping if someone is trying to contact you

I've read that a short nap can actually increase your productivity and focus as in 'power nap' so maybe you should.

I have the volume up on laptop and is between me and the dog on sofa !
