Should be able to amuse themselves for a while now at the age of two, and not need my constant attention?! My youngest DT has whinged non stop all day. Actually since Friday afternoon. My mum and dad took them sat night till Sunday afternoon to give me and DH a break cause we've been v stressed with renovating the bathroom the past week (doing it ourselves with help of my bio dad as he is a joiner)
Anyways, besides the fact that youngest DT has an ear infection, she is dosed up on calpol and antibiotics. Eldest DT has been ok. But still needs a lot of attention. I've practically carried youngest DT on my hip the last few days!!
Am I expecting too much of them?

ScooseIsLoose · 25/02/2013 17:01

^ I agree with the above yabu

TotallyBursar · 25/02/2013 17:04

Err do you need a third? YABU.

Do you remember how painful an ear infection is? How awful it makes you feel? And what 2 yo will stay away from 'bathroom renovations'? All that activity and a GP there too.

fromparistoberlin · 25/02/2013 17:15
Hmm
Saski · 25/02/2013 17:20

Yes, YABU.

Also, quite nice of your parents to take a 2 year old with an ear infection for quite a long time.

Ear infections are where you earn your stripes, for certain. They aren't easy.

MammaTJ · 25/02/2013 17:22

Aw, poor babies! YABU.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 25/02/2013 17:24

YABU, but 2 is hard! and you've got 2 if them! Hope it passes soon.

crashdoll · 25/02/2013 18:55

Yes, you are expecting too much. They're still little and ill.

RedHotRudieParts · 25/02/2013 19:03

I once kicked a hole in my bedroom wall whilst writhing around in agony.

Yabu, my sympathy is reserved firmly for the child in pain who was sent away from mummy when in pain and no doubt wanting her more than anyone in the world
