Just that really.

I've started a group on FB, hoping to find people who'd be interested in getting together for walks with the LO's, dogs or just themselves and there isn't much uptake/ interest so far.

I live in the Monton area of Greater Manchester and don't drive, so have been trying to think of ways to get out and about with others, locally.

Having had this locally to me and had it cut by council due to £ go for it. It's a fab thing.

I'm a bit confused why u have put on fb though. Wouldn't it make more sense to put posters up in the park itself? And advertise at local doctors, hospital, children's centre and shopping centre?

FYI our council would pay to send u on a volunteers morning to train u to do this so u could check out urs as they might too.

This was a literal lifeline to me when I had dd1. Good luck with it. I have great memories of it. Wishing u luck!!!!

It's not so much that I want the responsibility of organising all of the walks, I just want a place where people can post asking if anyone else fancies getting out and about.

FB because it's easy and if I can generate interest here, people can join the group and get involved.

Thanks for the positive response, I wasn't sure if it'd be OK to start a thread on MN asking people to join a group on FB.
