Offering Valentines roses at 5.99 each or two for 10?

Lidl have a pretty good display without the rip off prices we're used to for this day, but why would you need two Valentines bouquets?

Good question Hmm

Tee2072 · 13/02/2013 20:56

One for the wife, one for the mistress?

One for the wife, one for the mother?

One for the mother, one for the daughter?

Any number of reasons, really.

MikeOxardAndWellard · 13/02/2013 21:07

Because you love your wife twice as much? :o

Hoaz · 13/02/2013 21:25

Really, Tee, you'd be happy with a bouquet from a man who bought his mistress, mother or daughter the same Valentines gift?

That s nothing.

Sainsbury offers ONE rose for £5. You can also get two for £10. Even less value the more you buy!

Tee2072 · 13/02/2013 21:48

Sure, why not? Flowers are flowers.

I think you are over thinking this, however.

MyLittleMiracles · 13/02/2013 22:13

Could be going halves with their best mate- one for each wife/partner? LOL.

maddening · 13/02/2013 22:19

maybe he will combine the two with extra paper and ribbon to look like a much more expensive bunch?

aldiwhore · 13/02/2013 22:26

I like this girlfriend... I also like THIS girlfriend. Aldi.

A dozen LONG STEMMED (have to be) red roses, would be suitable for a valentine's flower gift for me. Any more and I'd think my DH was tacky/greedy/missing the point.

Short stems = short thrift from me.

I won't get ANY roses, because I've been vocal about how shit Valentine's is. Go me. I do have permission to buy enough Dafs to fill all my vases (little does he know how many I own)... but that's not really for Valentine's Day, he bought himself a game, therefore I'm owed that value in flowers, and dafs are cheap (and lovely and just what I need after this shitawfulmisery that has been the weather of late). Waffling now. As you were.

Tee2072 · 14/02/2013 07:52

Also, you're assuming I'd know that a) my spouse has a mistress and b) that he gave me the same flowers he gave her.

As he didn't give me any flowers, I assume his mistress got them.*

*I'm kidding. So far as I know my husband doesn't have a mistress. If he does, I'd like her to take our son a night so I can sleep.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 14/02/2013 07:56

Oooh are the daffs in? Smile

Tee2072 · 14/02/2013 08:01

I've certainly got some shoots in my garden, Plenty, but no actual flowers yet.
